ARTICLE 8. Conditions of membership
Physical persons or institutions who want to become members of the association will have to fulfill the following criteria (direct admissions) or must to guarantee them among members (admission of an association or association section):
- Personal psychoanalysis or individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy; a group psychoanalysis is advised
- Training in psychoanalytic therapy (or psychoanalysis) of couple and / or family psychoanalytic therapy (or psychoanalysis), and eventually training in group psychoanalytic therapy (or psychoanalysis).
- Practical experience

For all applications, please send us your CV and a letter of motivation. The executive Committee will respond as soon as possible to your request.
IACFP STUDY CENTER 2017
The Board suggest to create a Study Center to centralize all the scientific contributions of each member. This Study Center aims to the creation of working groups between its associates.
The working groups are constituted around a task that has be defined by their own members who have also to choose a speaker that will act as the group coordinator.
There are two types of working groups:
– Research Groups
– Reflection Groups
Reflection groups initiate a proposal of group work on a theoretical-clinical task, through reflexive discussion, readings, group dynamic and their own experience. In this manner, the members are going into the depth of the proposed problem and draw the conclusions. These reflection groups require a minimum of three participants and can come together in a presential, direct or indirect virtual way.
In reflection groups, the work is centered on the task and on functioning of the bonds with the material to be worked. This involves analyzing the clinical material in the transfero, counter and intertransferential fields.
Research Groups are constituted by several people who are gathering to carry out some researches on specific subjects. They formulate their objectives and hypotheses, define a scientific methodology (quantitative or qualitative), establish a medium and long term strategic plan to work together.
Thus, they produce knowledge results on the subject debated.
A research group is composed of minimum three individuals who work deliberately with an organized plan or agenda of research projects and programs for a sufficient time in order to produce knowledge results.
The main purpose of these actions is to acheieve visible quality results. They intend to arrive at tangible and verifiable results which are the consequences of the projects and investigative activities properly expressed in a sufficiently formalized action plan (projects). Each of these activities is registered in the curriculum of every researcher and then in the research groups.
The work results of reflection and research groups will be presented at the Congress, published and disseminated by the Association.
