Maria Luiza DIAS GARCÍA

  • Graduated in Psychology and Social Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo – PUC/SP.
  • Master’s degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo – PUC/SP.
  • PhD in Anthropology from the University of São Paulo – USP/SP.
  • Postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Psychology at USP.
  • Psychotherapist: individual, couple and family.
  • University Professor and Clinical Supervisor. Invited professor  in several postgraduate courses.
  • Participation in the elaboration of Contest exams for psychologists, at the Carlos Chagas Foundation since 2005, totaling until 2019, 55 Contests held for various Brazilian Courts (Court of Justice, Labor Court, Public Defender and others).
  • Acting in the area of Legal Psychology in Family Courts, as a technical assistant and expert in psychological assessment.
  • Psychotherapeutic and mediation experience in cases involving disputes in Family Courts.
  • Title of Specialist in Clinical Psychology by the Regional Council of Psychology – CRP/SP.
  • Founding member of the Brazilian Association of Family Therapy and President of the Paulista Association of Family Therapy (2010-2012).
  • Member of the Association Internationale de Psychanalyse de Couple et de Famille – AIPCF and founding member of the Brazilian Association of Couple and Family Psychoanalysis – ABPCF.
  • Coordinator and teacher of extension and training courses in Couple and Family Psychoanalysis at the Instituto de Ensino LAÇOS Psicologia (since 1990).
  • Author of several books, chapters, and articles. Co-organizer and co-author of the work Dicionário de Psicanálise de Casal e Família  (Couple and Family Psychoanalysis Dictionary), by Ed. Blucher, 2021
