A COUPLE AND FAMILY THERAPIST
Education:
2024 – 2021 : leading an Israeli couple and family psychoanalytic research group, currently working on research about “new couple relationships in the third age”, that will be presented at the IACFP congress on2025 .Concurrently with the research process we are expanding our knowledge on topics related to the study as we progress with the relevant teachers .
2011 – 2019: I am a graduate of the Advanced International Psychoanalytic Couple and Family training, in the Israeli Center. ( Completed the 717 theory hours required, and over 120 hours of supervision.)
1998-2003: The Hebrew University, Jerusalem –Psychotherapy for families and couples. A three years program followed by two years of practice. Graduated with a certificate as a supervisor and therapist for families and couples, listed as such by the Israeli Association for Couple and Family Therapy.
1990– 1995: The Fielding Institute, Santa Barbara, USA – M.A. and Ph.D. in Human
Organizational Development (HOD). The Ph.D. thesis focused on executives in the Israeli HighTec Industry. I researched the ways they view the ever changing and most competitive business environment they live in.
Personal psychoanalysis:
Had 4 years of psychoanalysis by a certified psychoanalyst from the Israeli Society of Psychoanalysis.
Lectures and Publication:
I have published a chapter in the series Psychoanalysis Online no3, edited by Jill Scharff.
I have presented several times in the IPI’s psychoanalytic couple therapy program:
November 2017: Sex, Drugs and Love
May 2015: Psychoanalysis via Skype
May 2013: Case study analyzed throughout Oedipus complex.
Clinical Experience:
2003—2024: Private Clinic –for psychoanalytic couple and family psychotherapy and psychoanalysis.
2014 to date part of the sessions are carried on via Skype. I have developed high level of expertise in ‘ONLINE’ therapy and gained mastership in this domain. I am sharing my experience in this domain in a chapter in the book edited by Jill Scharff.
2003-2009: T.L.M (Center for Training Couples and Families therapists in Israel) – Manager of a learning organization which trained couples and family therapists, and group facilitators. As the organization’s manager, I was responsible for:
- Developing and setting of training programs.
- Teaching the main courses, in both programs
- Managing the Clinic and providing supervision to the trainees.
- Group facilitator.
2001-2003: ” Women to Women center”, Israel—I was the couple’s therapist in the center. 2001-2003: Israel –Naamat is a women organization which supports working women . I was a family & couple’s therapist, mostly for low income families.
Prior to the above-mentioned education and experience in the field of couple’s therapy, I hold a Master’s degree in Education from Temple University, USA and for about 25 years assumed various roles in the Israeli Education system such as:
1985-1990: Junior high school principal
1998 – 2003: Lecturer in Bar- Ilan University and Derby University, both in Israel
1995 – 1998: I built the unit of students’ learning support at the Open University in Israel
